No. One of the things that sets Motiv8 apart is full flexibility: you can train at home, outdoors, in partner gyms or in any suitable space.
Yes. Motiv8 works alongside your gym, not instead of it. Use it to try something new, train while you’re away, or fill the days when your usual schedule doesn’t work.
The app works throughout Portugal and our partner network is growing city by city, starting with Coimbra. If you’re in a city we’re just arriving in, even better: the first partners in each city get featured placement in the app at launch.
In the app you can search by location, activity, speciality or availability, so you easily find the closest class that fits your goal.
There are two possible reasons:
- Active search filters – a filter may be limiting your results. Try resetting the filters and searching again.
- Platform availability – Motiv8 is rolling out gradually by region, so there may not be any activity in your area yet.
We’re continuously working to expand the platform and bring more trainers and activities to new locations.
No. Motiv8 works with no lock-in. You only pay for the sessions or packages you choose.
You cancel in the app up to 12 hours before the class starts and get a full refund. Cancellations with less than 12 hours’ notice aren’t eligible for a refund, except in exceptional cases. If the trainer or venue cancels, you get your money back or you can rebook.
You can pay in the app by card, MB Way or with your Motiv8 wallet, securely.
Each booking has a €0.50 service fee, which covers payment processing costs. If you top up your Motiv8 wallet with Motis, you pay the fee only once, at top-up, and every booking paid with Motis is exempt. 1 Moti = €1, with a €20 minimum top-up.
Yes. Every trainer and venue goes through document and certification checks before they can publish classes on the platform.
Yes. Motiv8 uses encryption and follows European data protection rules (GDPR) to keep your information secure.

We charge 15% on each confirmed class, with no monthly fees and no fixed costs. The commission is shown transparently before you confirm each class.
Students pay through the app and your balance updates after each completed class. You request a withdrawal in the app, issue an invoice for the net amount, and receive payment by bank transfer within 7 business days after validation.
Yes, fully. You set the price, schedule, capacity and requirements for each class. The only rule is that you can’t change the price or essential conditions of a class with confirmed bookings without the participants’ agreement.
No. Responsibility for the sessions lies with the trainer and the client. We always recommend that sessions are carried out safely and adjusted to each person’s fitness level. This is also why the activity legally requires its own insurance.
